St Mary's Church, Lamberhurst
St Mary's church is conventionally configured, with a Nave and Chancel, South Aisle and Lady Chapel (now enclosed by glass doors),, West Tower with shingled spire, and a South Porch. Construction is of sandstone, mainly rubble, but more regularly in the tower. Roofs are a mixture of shingles on the South Aisle, South Porch, and north slopes of the nave. Inner slopes of the nave and chancel appear to be welsh blue slates. The spire is enclosed by sandstone castellations.
The church stands on a mound with ground sloping away on all but the western side. The churchyard is extensively covered with stone monuments and headstones.
